Blast near Kabul’s Interior Ministry injures 4

MNP – An explosion near the Ministry of Interior in Kabul on Saturday, December 28, left at least four people injured, according to residents and officials.

Khalid Zadran, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Kabul Police Command, confirmed the incident occurred on the road leading to Kabul Airport, near Sheikh Zayed Hospital. He stated that the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment, and investigations into the blast are underway.

While residents described the explosion as “massive” and feared heavy casualties, Taliban authorities reported no severe injuries resulting from the blast. 

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion, and details about its cause remain unclear. The incident underscores ongoing security challenges in Kabul, particularly in areas close to key government institutions.
