Army chiefs of Pakistan, Australia discuss bilateral cooperation at GHQ
MNP – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan General Asim Munir met with Australian Army Chief Lieutenant General Simon Stuart at the General Headquarters (GHQ) today.
The high-level meeting focused on issues of mutual interest, particularly the evolving global and regional security situation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both military leaders discussed several strategic matters, with a specific emphasis on strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations in the realms of defence and security.
The Australian army chief expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s ongoing efforts in counter-terrorism, recognizing the country’s significant role in regional peace.
Meanwhile, General Asim Munir emphasised the importance of robust cooperation between the two countries.
He noted that Pakistan’s military continues to play a critical role in combating terrorism, both domestically and internationally.
