Trump vows to overhaul LGBTQ+ policies in 2024 election campaign
MNP – As the 2024 U.S. presidential election approaches, former President Donald Trump has laid out a controversial agenda targeting gender-affirming care and LGBTQ+ rights, pledging to take immediate action if he regains the White House.
At a recent rally, Trump declared, “On Day One, I will sign an executive order banning schools from promoting critical race theory and what I refer to as ‘transgender insanity.’”
Trump’s rhetoric emphasizes a commitment to what he describes as “traditional values,” asserting, “We will reaffirm that God created two genders: male and female.”
He made it clear that he intends to prohibit transgender individuals from participating in women’s sports, a move that has already garnered both support and backlash across the political spectrum.
The former president’s strategy includes plans to dismantle federal funding for medical facilities that offer hormone therapies or surgical interventions for transgender individuals.
