Five PTI leaders granted permission to meet Imran Khan in Adiala Jail
MNP – five leaders from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday received official permission to meet former Prime Minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
This decision comes after a brief stand-off, as PTI leadership had initially refused to visit the jail until all five leaders were granted access.
According to sources, the authorities had initially approved only three leaders—Barrister Gohar, Asad Qaiser, and Senator Ali Zafar—to meet Khan, prompting PTI leaders to express their unwillingness to proceed without the inclusion of their other two colleagues.
Sheikh Waqas Akram, a PTI spokesperson, confirmed via a post on the social media platform X that the request for five leaders to meet Khan had been approved.
“We are now on our way to Adiala Jail for the meeting,” Akram stated, expressing that the PTI’s insistence on including all five leaders had been fruitful. He added, “The barrister’s obstinacy has worked,” indicating the party’s unified stance.
