Muslim organizations alarmed by rising anti-Muslim rhetoric in India

MNP – Since BJP government came to power for the third time, there has been an alarming rise in threats, harassment, and violence against minorities at the hands of majority Hindu organizations.

Reports indicate that incidents of violence against Muslims, desecration of mosques, and inflammatory comments against Islam have become routine in India.

Muslim organizations, including Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and the All India Muslim Council, have strongly condemned Swami Narsinghanand’s hate speech against Islam.

Leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) openly support individuals and organizations that harbor anti-Muslim sentiments. Notable BJP figures such as Uttar Pradesh’s Hindu nationalist Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Home Minister Amit Shah, and MP Sakshi Maharaj are known for using inflammatory language and inciting others to do the same.

This wave of hate speech and violence is not merely a temporary issue but signifies a dangerous trend against Muslims, where anti-Islamic sectarian sentiments and violence are becoming increasingly normalized.

Malik Mutasim Khan, Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, stated that such hateful statements not only hurt the sentiments of Muslims but also aim to incite communal tension. Comments from troublemakers like Swami Narsinghanand reflect a deep moral and spiritual crisis that goes beyond mere insult.
