Lahore Youth Festival’s registration process to start soon: Commissioner Lahore Zaid bin Maqsood
LAHORE (Mustansar Khan ) Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial and Commissioner Lahore Division Zaid bin Maqsood jointly presided over an important meeting of Lahore Youth Festival 2024 organizing committee at Punjab Stadium on Thursday.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Pervez Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza, Director General Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Tahir Wattoo, Special Secretary HED Muneeb ur Rehman and Additional Secretary Sports Farhan Farooq participated in the meeting.
Besides them top officers from Higher Education, School Education Department, Punjab Police, LDA, PHA and other departments including Director Monitoring SED Malik Ghulam Fareed, District Sports Officer Lahore Tanveer Shah, ADG (HQ) LDA Dr Mujtaba, SSP Abdul Wahab, Awais Nawaz, M Ubaid Iqbal and other officials attended the important meeting.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal gave an in-depth briefing to meeting. Various suggestions and proposals were discussed in the meeting to organize Lahore Youth Festival event in a befitting manner. The events of Lahore Youth Festival are likely to be conducted at Punjab Stadium and Fortress Stadium.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial said that thousands of students from different universities and schools will participate in the thrilling competitions of marathon, cycling, athletics, tug-of-war in Lahore Youth Festival. “The talented players from various educational institutions will get a suitable opportunity to express their skills on the platform of Lahore Youth Festival”.
Commissioner Lahore Zaid bin Maqsood, on this occasion said that apart from sports competitions the cultural performances will also be arranged in Lahore Youth Festival. “The mega event of Lahore Youth Festival is being organized under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz,” he added.
Commissioner Lahore Zaid bin Maqsood further said that the registration process to participate in the Lahore Youth Festival competitions will be started soon.
Director General Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal said that Sports Board Punjab will provide all sports facilities including technical officials for organizing Lahore Youth Festival in a smooth manner. “The logo of Lahore Youth Festival will be unveiled at an impressive ceremony.
