Dr Asif Tufail visits Bahawalpur Division review multiple sports #development #projects
LAHORE (MNP) Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail on Friday visited Bahawalpur Division and reviewed different sports development projects.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail visited Gymnasium Hall, Dring Stadium, E-Library and Summer Camp during his inspection visit. Young athletes played table tennis, tennis, karate, taekwondo matches in the presence of Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail. He also witnessed a gymnastics performance on this occasion.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail also presided over an important meeting of all district and tehsil sports officers at DC Office. Divisional Sports Officer Bahawalpur Division Aamir Hameed, District Sports Officer Rahim Yar Khan M Ashfaq, District Sports Officer Bahawalnagar Uzma Bashir and other officials were present in the meeting.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail was given a detailed briefing regarding under-construction sports projects on this occasion.
During his Dring Stadium visit, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail inspected under-construction tartan athletics track and cricket pavilion sports projects. He directed the officials concerned to complete the under-construction projects as early as possible.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail warned that in this regard, no delay will be tolerated. He also planted a sapling at Dring Stadium.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Ehtisham Anwar and Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Anwar Jappa also had meetings with Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail and discussed various issues regarding the promotion of sports in Bahawalpur Division.
Talking on this occasion, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that Inter-Division competitions will be conducted among the best performers of summer camp. He directed all district and tehsil sports officers to involve maximum number of players in sports activities. “There should be plenty of sports events at sports venues of Bahawalpur Division so that the valuable sports infrastructure could be utilized for the true growth of sports culture,” he added.
Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that after the completion, the under-construction projects will help a lot in promoting sports culture among the younger generation of this region.
