PSL 2023: PCB mulling to shift Lahore, Rawalpindi games to Karachi
MNP – The Pakistan Cricket Board (#PCB) has summoned an #emergency meeting with the #PakistanSuperLeague (PSL) franchise owners to deliberate moving the #Lahore and #Rawalpindi matches of the league to #Karachi in order to save money, sources said.
The meeting would be held in Lahore today.
According to sources, the board is considering moving the matches of the next leg to Karachi after receiving a bill of Rs500 million from Punjab’s provincial government.
Sources said the reason behind this move is to save money. According to the sources, the Sindh government is not charging anything from the PCB to host PSL matches in Karachi.
They further said that the PCB has already paid Rs50 million for food and beverages to the Punjab government. However, the provincial government is pressurising the board to pay the remaining Rs450 million as soon as possible.
