Afridi sees ‘outdated’ cricket behind Pakistan’s debacle
LAHORE (MNP) – Former all-rounder Shahid Afridi said on Friday that outdated cricket behind Pakistan’s debacle against England in the historic Test series.
To continue his discussion, Mr Afridi mentioned different teams’ strategies for playing aggressively in Test cricket. Lamenting that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and former cricketers need to work at the grass-roots level for talent hunting.
Mr Afridi defended skipper Babar Azam, saying it was unfair to hold him [Babar] responsible for the team’s defeat against England.
He also spoke in favor of cricketers Shahnawaz Dahani and Mohammad Hasnain, saying that when the team needed the duo, they were out of team.
