We are providing all possible facilities for the holding of sports events on Christmas: Ehsan Bhutta
LAHORE (MNP) Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Ehsan Bhutta said all possible facilities will be provided for the holding of sports events across the province on the eve of Christmas; he said this while addressing the large gathering of Christian community’s sports events organized at NPSC Gymnasium Hall on Monday.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Divisional Sports Officer Lahore Tariq Khanzada, DSO Lahore Tanveer Shah, Administrator NPSC Gymnasium Hall Mustfa Shah, Advisor to CM M Zulfiqar Pappan, Chairman Complaint Cell District Lahore Sohail Sarfraz Cheema, Padri Javed Gill, Padri Samuel B Messi, Pervaiz Michael, Ilyas A Khan and a large number of Christian community members were also present on this occasion.
Christian community’s basketball and badminton events were held under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab and St Michael Sports Federation. Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Ehsan Bhutta and Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi also distributed prizes on this occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Ehsan Bhutta said the members of Christian community are patriotic Pakistanis. “We will support them in every way in the field of sports at the division and district level in the province.”
He congratulated the members of Christian community on Christmas. “I am happy that the sports events were organized on the occasion of Christmas which will encourage the athletes”. He informed that sports events will be organized in schools and colleges after 11 O’clock on Saturdays.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi while congratulating the Christian community on Christmas said that a sports academy will be established for the Christian community. “The young players will be provided with modern facilities in the academy where famous coaches will train the players”.
Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Ehsan Bhutta and Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi along with leaders of Christian community attended cake cutting ceremony on this occasion.
