PTI, PML-Q to contest elections together notwithstanding differences, says Imran Khan

LAHORE (MNP) – Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) supremo Imran Khan on Monday while reacting to Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s statement in favor of ex-COAS General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s favor said that PTI and PML-Q will contest elections together apart from differences.

Sources privy to the development, the deposed premier told the PTI stalwarts not to change their narrative, and not to get confused with CM Elahi’s statement.

The PTI chief added that both parties will contest elections together apart from differences, sources added.

Earlier, the PTI chief while lashing out at the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) led government said that they have failed to stabilize the economy and control terrorism, elections are the only way to stabilize the destructed economy by political strength.

Taking to Twitter Khan said “Other than destroying the economy, the imported government has failed to control terrorism, as it has risen to 50 per cent with incidents from Chaman to Swat, to Lakki Marwat to Bannu. They have failed to handle the attacks from the Pak-Afghan border as well.”

He further said that our soldiers, police, and locals are losing their lives every day, he added that this government is only interested in NRO-2, which is why they are not mentioning the increasing risk of terrorism and attacks from western borders.

The former PM also said, “Even though the economy has been destroyed, they are still afraid of holding elections, elections are the only way to stabilize the destructed economy by using political strength.”
