PFF Extraordinary Congress approves FIFA-proposed Constitutional

Lahore (Mustansar Khan) The newly elected Congress of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) overwhelmingly approved FIFA’s proposed constitutional amendments in an Extraordinary Congress convened in Lahore. The Congress members endorsed the FIFA proposed amendments in the best interest of Pakistan football, paving the way for the national team’s participation in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers following the expected lifting of FIFA’s suspension. A high-profile delegation from FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) comprising Vahid Kardany, Deputy General Secretary (AFC), Rolf Tanner, Head of MA Governance (FIFA), Purushottam Kattel, Head of South Asia Unit (AFC), Sonam Jigmi, Senior Manager of South Asia Unit (AFC) and Dinish De Silva, Manager of South Asia Unit (AFC) were also in attendance.
The meeting was chaired by the PFF President and Chairman of the Normalization Committee (NC), Saud Azim Hashimi along with NC members Muhammad Shahid Niaz Khokhar and Haris Azmat.
AFC Deputy General Secretary Vahid Kardany commended the intention of Congress members regarding bringing the necessary reforms within Pakistan football. He also applauded the efforts of the Normalization Committee in facilitating the process.
