Apple iPhone alarm glitch continue to frustrate users!
MNP – Nearly a year after Apple acknowledged iPhone alarm failures, users are still reporting issues with alarms that either don’t go off on time or fail to make a sound.
A recent social media post shared a screenshot of an iPhone alarm set for 10:30 AM but triggering at 12:42 PM—the time displayed on an Apple Watch. The thread quickly filled with complaints from other users facing similar problems.
Alarms going off hours late:
A social media user reported that their morning alarm was silent for 40 minutes while still displaying as active. Another said their alarm rang at 5 PM instead of 7 AM.
The issue appears to affect both iOS 17 and iOS 18 users, including those who have enabled Apple Intelligence features.
Some have tried disabling Attention Awareness, which lowers alarm volume if the iPhone detects your face, but it hasn’t resolved the issue for many.
