Champions Trophy: Maryam vows best security for cricket teams, spectators
MNP – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz presided over a Provincial Apex Committee meeting to review the security situation and law and order in the province.
During the meeting, CM Maryam paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the country and its people. “We always pray for those who risked their lives for the sake of this holy land,” she remarked.
The meeting included discussions on several critical issues, including proactive measures for public safety, counter-terrorism strategies, and security preparations for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
CM Maryam emphasized fool-proof arrangements for the peaceful hosting of the Champions Trophy. “We will ensure the best security for cricket teams and spectators. All possible resources are being provided,” she assured.
