ICC announces Champions Trophy 2025 groups, schedule

MNP – The ICC has announced the fixtures and groupings for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled to begin on February 19 in Karachi and conclude on March 9. The tournament will feature eight teams, 15 matches, and will be hosted across Pakistan and Dubai.

In Pakistan, the matches will be held at three venues: Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi, each hosting three group games. Lahore is set to host the second semi-final and the final on March 9, unless India qualifies, in which case the final will be played in Dubai. Both semi-finals and the final will include reserve days.

India’s three group matches and the first semi-final are scheduled to be played in Dubai.

The tournament kicks off with Pakistan facing New Zealand in the Group A opener in Karachi on February 19. Dubai’s fixtures begin the next day, with India playing against Bangladesh. Group B action starts on February 21, as Afghanistan takes on South Africa in Karachi.

A highly anticipated weekend follows, with England facing Australia in Lahore on February 22 and the much-awaited Pakistan-India clash taking place the day after.
