Saim Ayub, Sufiyan Muqeem power Pakistan to historic whitewash over South Africa in ODI series
MNP – Pakistan completed a historic 3-0 whitewash over South Africa in their own backyard, securing an unforgettable victory in the three-match ODI series at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday.

Saim Ayub’s commanding century and Sufiyan Muqeem’s outstanding four-wicket haul on debut were pivotal in Pakistan’s 36-run triumph in the third ODI, which was decided by the DLS method.
After a solid team performance throughout the series, Pakistan’s bowlers clinched victory on the final ODI.
Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah took crucial wickets, while debutant Muqeem delivered a match-winning spell. His four-wicket performance included dismissals of key South African players such as Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen, and Kwena Maphaka.
South Africa, despite Heinrich Klaasen’s blistering 81, failed to chase down Pakistan’s target of 309, managing only 271/10 in 42 overs.
