Lahore set to introduce its first floating restaurant on Canal
MNP – Lahore could soon be home to its first floating restaurant, according to ongoing speculations surrounding a new project on the Lahore Canal near Harbanspura.
Sources suggest that the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has potentially allocated Rs. 350 million for this initiative, which might include a floating dining boat along with additional recreational amenities.
If these plans materialize, the project could feature cafes, seating areas, and dedicated play zones for children, transforming the canal into a possible leisure hub for families and tourists.
The PHA may also consider revitalizing a nearby underused picnic site, further enhancing the canal area. Speculations point to a comprehensive development plan designed by PHA’s engineering team, which aims to bring new life to the space and make it an attractive spot for relaxation.
