PCB-BCCI deadlock on Champions Trophy persists; ICC meeting rescheduled
MNP – The deadlock between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy persists, sources have confirmed.
As a result, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to reconvene its board meeting, which is expected to take place on December 5.
Sources close to the development have stated that the ongoing stand-off between the two boards remains unresolved, with both parties still at odds over the tournament’s venue and format.
The deadlock has led to the ICC’s decision to reconvene, with the hope of resolving the matter through further discussions.
Both the PCB and BCCI are expected to come to the meeting with decisions guided by their respective government policies.
