ETECTE’24 Kicks Off at The University of Lahore with Inspiring Opening Ceremony

Lahore (MNP) The 2024 3rd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Electrical, Control, and Telecommunication Engineering (ETECTE’24) commenced today with a grand opening ceremony at The University of Lahore. Organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Lahore Section, the two-day conference has brought together leading researchers, industry professionals, and students from across the globe to discuss advancements in Electrical, Control, and Telecommunication Engineering.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem of Pakistan, evoking a sense of unity and pride. Dignitaries, including the Rector of the University, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, and the General Chair of ETECTE’24, warmly welcomed the audience and highlighted the significance of this international conference as a platform for collaboration and innovation.
A special address by Mr. Kashif Bashir, Chair of IEEE ComSoc Lahore Section, emphasized the importance of IEEE’s role in fostering research and knowledge-sharing in emerging technologies.
The highlight of the morning session was four insightful keynote speeches. Prof. Dr. Maria Pia Fanti from Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy, Dr. Muhammad Tayyab from Nokia Standards Finland, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad from NUST Islamabad, and Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Naeem from UET Lahore inspired the audience with their presentations on the latest topics and trends.
ETECTE’24 is poised to be a landmark event, fostering international collaboration and showcasing cutting-edge research that will shape the future of engineering and technology.
