Imran Khan awaits green signal for appearing in LHC
LAHORE (MNP) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan is expected to appear before the Lahore High Court (LHC) to attend hearing of the protective bail plea filed by him in a case pertaining to protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Strict security measures have been taken at the high court to avoid any untoward situation while Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh has suspended hearing of all other cases. The foremer minister is awaiting written permission from the court regarding entry of his vehicle in LHC premises.
It is for the first time that Mr Khan appeared before a court since an assassination attack on him in October last.
