Two soldiers martyred in IED blast in Balochistan’s Kohlu
RAWALPINDI (MNP) – Two soldiers were martyred after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near them during a “sanitisation operation” in Balochistan’s Kohlu area, the military’s media wing confirmed on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was being conducted in Balochistan’s Kohlu when an improvised explosive devise exploded close to the leading party, resultantly, Major Jawad and Captain Sagheer were martyred.
The ISPR said that a sanitisation operation was underway in the area to apprehend the perpetrators.
“Such cowardly acts by inimical elements cannot sabotage the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan. Security forces remain determined to challenge their nefarious designs, even at the cost of blood and lives,” statement added.
