DG LDA Aamir Ahmad Khan visited Abdul Haq Road, G-1 Market and Expo Center Road in Johar Town. Reviewed the ongoing steps to make the roads “model roads”.

LAHORE ( ) Director General of Lahore Development Authority Aamir Ahmed Khan visited Abdul Haq Road G-1 Market and Expo Center Road (Emporium Mall) in Johar Town and reviewed the ongoing measures to make these roads into model roads. On the occasion he said that On the directions of the Lahore High Court, LDA is working hard to develop 9 important roads as models roads. DG LDA said that the road from Dr. Hospital to Expo Center is being turned into a model road. He said that a plan for parking and encroachment removal from G-1 Market should be prepared in collaboration with TEPA, PHA and local traders at earliest. An effective traffic management plan should be devised during school and rush hours. Concerned Officials while briefing DG LDA said that due to high charges of shopping malls, citizens prefer to park vehicles outside. DG LDA said that big shopping malls should ensured parking charges according to the rates determined by “Lahore Parking Company” and illegal parking outside the malls will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
During his visit, DG directed to Emporium Mall management that arrangements for motorcycle and car parking should be made inside the Mall so that the traffic flow on outside should not be affected. He said that convenience of business community and enforcement of laws, both are very important for public. DG LDA directed to widen the Abdul Haq Road from both sides and to improve beautification of green belt. He directed to the concerned authorities to submit the remodeling design to make model road from Doctor Hospital to Expo Center. He said that strict action should be taken against the encroachments on the parking space and on parking in the “No Parking Area”. On this occasion, the Additional DG Housing Saifiullah Gondal, Chief Engineer One Israr Saeed Khan, Chief Town Planner Asdul zaman Director Enforcement, Director Town Planning Sidra Muazzam, Deputy Director Law Qasim Bhatti along with officers of TEPA, PHA, MCL and traffic police were also present.
