Sleep deprivation may lead to severe diseases, new research
(MNP) –Not having sufficient sleep increases the risk of dying from heart failure or stroke. People suffering from problems like diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and cholesterol are more prone to develop these life-threatening conditions.
It was experimented on 1,344 adults in the Penn State of Medical College and those having metablolic syndrome – heart or blood pressure disease – were at a greater risk. The findings were also published in the Journal of the American Heart Association.
Therefore, it is advisable to people suffering from critical diseases to sleep for an at least eight hours a day.
