England draw first blood in Test series

RAWALPINDI (MNP) – After a ‘biggest test’ for the bowlers of both the side, England managed to outplay Pakistan at the Pindi Cricket Stadium as the visitors won the first Test with a handy 74-run margin to lead the three-match Test series 1-0 on Monday.

The first three days of the Test match was not in the favor of bowlers and the first day marked history for Ben Stokes XI, but Pakistan responded well in their first innings. But the batters from the both the teams, struggled in the second innings.

For England, veteran James Anderson bagged four wickets and also the youngster, Ollie Robinson also toppled the batters of the home side and grabbed four.

England dismantled Pakistan in the first Test, winning by a comfortable margin of 74 runs at the Pindi Cricket Stadium to take a 1-0 series lead after the “greatest test” for both teams  bowlers on Monday.

The opening day of the Test match was historic for Ben Stokes XI, but Pakistan reacted brilliantly in their first innings despite the first three days of the match being unfavorable for bowlers. However, both teams  batters had trouble in the second inning.

James Anderson, a seasoned bowler, claimed four wickets for England, and youngster Ollie Robinson also dismissed the batters and took four wickets.
